The weather here is clearing and is somewhat better today. We at least have patches of sunshine along with the wind and rain.

I went shopping over in Ruby's store and I came up with this wonderful winter themed kit.

Of course, I don't have the normal winter photos right now so I went hunting in my photos not scrapped and came up with a few. The first one was a photo of last year around Christmas time when Denver was hit with the first of 3 very heavy snowstorms within a month. We were all set to fly from Denver to Missouri for Christmas when the entire city was shut down (including the airport for 3 days). Needless to say, we didn't make it back to Missouri. These are some pictures we took of the snow piled up against the back door and of the backhoe trying to clear the more than 3 feet of snow from our neighborhood roads.

This next photo was a bit older. This is from a hut trip that we did back in 2005. This is a night photo of Walters Cabin (on Vail Pass in Colorado). Matt froze while trying to get the perfect shot and I think he did!!

Twinkle Twinkle Little Star

When Ruby asked if there was anything she could do for me, I asked for a kit that I could use to scrap our wedding photos. Never in a million years would I have thought out this wonderful kit. I absolutely love this kit!! The background paper that I used on these two layouts is filled with calla lilies... How perfect is that????

Jason caught the two little ones entranced with all the little lights that decorated the room. I love seeing their little faces and hands peaking around all the lights!!!

Time for the real kite!!

Well, the weather has improved somewhat here today. We have at least seen the sun. The winds are up, but they are offshore so there is no kiting for me or Matt today.

I used Ruby's fantastic "Tropical Cocktail" kit to scrap some photos of my last kite-boarding lesson. I was flying Matt's old 9 meter North kite on the beach and it went well (only . I have loved using this great kit to add some color to our gray days here. Now, we need some good sun and good wind so I can get some more photos to use with it.

Step 1: Kite flying

Well, I needed something to brighten this yucky day and this scrapbook page definitely did it. Tropical Storm Noel is still making his/her presence felt. It has been rainy all day again today and we are so tired of being couped up inside!!

I decided that I needed to scrap some photos of a week ago when we were actually getting beach time and I was learning to kite-surf.

I recently joined Ruby Rynne's creative team and I had to use her "Tropical Cocktail" kit to scrap some pages of our time down here in Dominican. Click here to visit her blog and click here to visit her store.
