Warm & Sunny Houston?????

Sorry its been so long since I've updated the blog, but with the holidays and all, its been a little nuts.

We enjoyed several weeks in Missouri with Angela's family for the Christmas and New Years holidays.  It was great to watch the little ones open their presents and be excited for Santa!!!

Here, Laura, Katelyn & I marvel that the Gingerbread House is still standing.

Yep...  I'd say she was very excited over Christmas!!!  She woke us up in the trailer bright & early Christmas morning.

Crazy for "Pun Bob" - That is Sponge Bob for those of you who don't speak toddler.
 More Christmas photos available here.

We have been in Houston for a little over a week now and enjoyed a couple of nice weather days before making a freezing trip to Chicago to visit the Museum of Science & Industry.  It was a great trip and the U-505 submarine was amazing.  I don't have any good pictures of it yet, but will post when I have one.  Click on the highlighted links for more information.

We will be in Houston until next Wednesday and then will head to South Padre Island again for several months.  We are ready for the warm weather as its been quite chilly here in Houston with lows in the 30's and highs only in the 40's & 50's.

Houston

We arrived about 2:30 Monday afternoon into Houston.  We had a good drive with only 1 U-turn in downtown Dallas (Yes, we were not paying close attention to Gladys, our GPS).

We will leave Houston on Saturday to make the 6+ hour drive down to the southern most tip of South Padre Island where we plan to spend about a month hanging out on the beach.  We will spend this week visiting with friends and family here and making our final trip preparations to the RV (like finding a chair and stocking up food).

We expect to have beautiful weather here with high's in the upper 70's.  I think last night was the first night we have spent in the RV without the heater on.  Its good to be in the warm South (for at least another month or two...)
